FAQ's
What is UAT?
-
UAT or User Acceptance Testing is where we assure the functionality of a piece of software (in this case Grademaker) with a group of selected end users likely to be performing
regular tasks within the system. We record the results of these tests so that should any issues arise they are able to be flagged before the product is released to the wider community.
What is TestLodge?
-
TestLodge is an online UAT testing platform. It allows us to group the varying tests we need to perform into Cases, Suites and Runs.
-
Cases: Cases ot Test Cases are a script that the user follows to perform a function or an action in GradeMaker.
-
Suites: Suites are groups of cases designed to run as part of a workflow. For example: The Author (LAW) may have 3 test Cases relating to a workflow.
These are grouped into a Suite and are run in the order the user would need to action them.
-
Runs: A Run is when a Suite of Cases is set in motion. The end user is notified of the unique Run they have been assigned. When they log into TestLodge
They will have a Test Run allocated to them. This will start the Cases that they need to complete in the correct order they should be completed in.
